Claude Skill

Twitter / X Post Writer

A Claude skill that writes Twitter/X posts in any voice - tweets, threads, quote tweets, and replies built to stop the scroll.

The Twitter / X Post Writer is a Claude skill that writes tweets, threads, quote tweets, and replies in whatever voice you hand it. It leads with the point and cuts the wind-up. No "Thread 🧵" with nothing behind it.

The Problem

You open the compose box. You have a good idea, a real one, something you figured out the hard way. You type the first line. You read it back. It sounds like a LinkedIn post wearing a disguise.

So you delete it. You try again, this time with a hook you saw someone use last week. Now it sounds like them, not you. Twenty minutes in, you have four drafts in your head and none on the screen, and the idea that felt sharp an hour ago has gone soft from handling. You post nothing, or you post the safe version that nobody replies to.

The hard part was never the idea. It was the first line, and the nine other ways you could have opened that you never got to try.

What this Claude skill does

  • Writes in any voice you name: Hand it a voice profile from the voice-cloner skill, point it at a person or brand, or let it default to direct, punchy, and skeptical of hype. It matches sentence rhythm, recurring phrases, and casing.
  • Single tweets, threads, quotes, and replies: Picks the right structure for each. Single tweets stay under 280. Thread hooks stay under 220 so they preview cleanly. Quote tweets add a take instead of echoing.
  • Batches of 10 by default: Ask for alternatives and you get ten genuinely different angles on the same idea, not one tweet reworded ten times. Saved to a markdown file.
  • Hook-first structure every time: Bold claim or real tension up top, payoff teased not spent, takeaway or reply-bait at the close.
  • A pre-ship checklist built in: Every post gets run against the basics, does the first line stop the scroll, can a stranger react without context, is there one takeaway instead of three, is it under the character count.
  • No emoji soup, no hashtag spam: Skips both unless you ask, because X downranks hashtag-heavy posts and emoji bullets read as filler.

Why it's amazing!

  • You go from blank box to ten postable options in one prompt.
  • Every draft sounds like a person, because it's matched to a voice you chose.
  • You pick the angle that fits your read of the room instead of settling for the first thing that came out.
  • The posts are built to earn replies and quotes, not just sit there.

Who it's for

Anyone who has something worth saying on X and keeps not saying it. Brand builders, Founders building in public, solo operators growing an audience, ghostwriters juggling client voices, marketers who need a week of posts by Friday, and anyone who has stared at a draft until the idea died of old age. If the first line is where you always stall, this is for you.

How it works

Example prompts

  • "Write me a tweet about why most founders over-build before launch."
  • "Give me 10 thread hooks about pricing for a SaaS product."
  • "Brainstorm angles on remote work burnout, then write the best three as single tweets."
  • "Write a quote tweet reacting to this take, but disagree with substance."
  • "I'm launching a habit-tracker for parents next week — write a build-in-public thread that teases it without being salesy."
  • "Use my voice profile and write a contrarian tweet about AI writing tools."

Sample output

Ask for a batch on one topic and you get ten distinct openings, each a different way in:

  • The contrarian: "Unpopular opinion: 'build in public' is mostly performance. Here's what actually moves the needle."
  • The specific number: "I shipped 3 features nobody asked for before the one that got us our first 100 users. Here's the one."
  • The hard-won lesson: "I spent 6 months on a landing page redesign. Conversion went up 0.4%. Here's what I'd do instead."
  • The tension hook: "Your product isn't the reason nobody's buying. Your first line is."
  • The imperative: "Stop polishing the demo. Send it to ten strangers and watch where they get stuck."
  • The reframe: "AI doesn't write good tweets. It just gets bad ones out of your head faster so you can find the good one."

For a thread, you get a hook under 220 characters, one idea per tweet through the body, and a close that asks for a reply or lands a single takeaway. For a quote tweet, one or two sentences that add an angle. Every post comes in under the character limit, run against the pre-ship checklist before it reaches you.

FAQ

Does this cost anything or need an API key?

No. It's a Claude skill that runs inside Claude. There's no Twitter API key, no third-party service, no per-post fee.

Will the posts actually sound like me?

If you give it a voice profile or samples of your writing, yes, it matches rhythm, vocabulary, and your signature moves. With no voice given, it defaults to a clean, direct, hype-skeptical tone. The more you tell it about the voice, the closer it lands.

Can it post to Twitter for me?

No. It writes the posts and hands them to you. You review and publish yourself. That's on purpose... you should be reading anything before it goes out under your name.

Does it schedule posts or track engagement?

No. This skill writes copy. It doesn't connect to a scheduler, pull analytics, or report on how a post performed. Pair it with whatever publishing tool you already use.

How many alternatives can I get at once?

Ten by default when you ask for a batch, and you can ask for more or fewer. Each one takes a different angle on the topic instead of rewording a single idea, so you're choosing between real options.

Does it remember my voice between sessions?

Not on its own. Save a voice profile file with the Voice Cloner Skill and point this skill at that file each time. The profile file is the memory.

Will it stuff my posts with hashtags and emojis?

No. It skips both unless you ask. Hashtag-heavy posts get downranked on X, and emoji bullets read as filler, so the default is clean text.

Can it write replies and quote tweets, not just original posts?

Yes. It handles single tweets, full threads, quote tweets, and replies, and it picks the structure that fits what you asked for.

Safe To Install

Please read before installing. Any skill you copy online is someone else's code running inside your Claude, and a lot of what's out there should give you pause. Most authors who give skills away don't give a second thought to quality or security. Most are vibe-coded slop pushed out untested, and some are the occasional bad actor hiding an exploit in plain sight. (Read about OpenClaws ClawHub security nightmare). Every skill we publish is vetted by a programmer with 20+ years of professional experience and checked line by line for anything that touches your files without reason. With Stim-Pack Studios Claude Skills, you get peace of mind knowing you're installing safe, vetted code, not a stranger's guess.
